Our clients came to us eager to get a backyard they could fully enjoy with their three young children. Their existing yard was very unusable at the time. It had a complicated layout, a garden that took up a play area for the kids, a retaining wall that was falling apart and a pool deck that desperately needed a refresh. At the start of the project, our clients had a simple goal: “we were merely hoping to reclaim our yard.” Our team was ready to do that… and more.
A few key features bring new life outside.
In this backyard we wanted to accomplish a lot in a small amount of space. We were up for the challenge.
In the past, the homeowners found it difficult to keep grass looking fresh due to a lack of sunlight on the yard. After removing the worn down garden spaces and old pool deck areas, we replaced them with synthetic turf. This gave them a perfect alternative to natural grass and served as a great low-maintenance and kid-friendly surface.
We replaced the old retaining wall with a clean, red brick wall that matched the brickwork on the home. We also cleaned up the walkways and added a paved walkway from the house to the pool and concrete steps to connect the two levels of the backyard.
Finally, we finished off with new landscape lighting so that backyard bliss can be enjoyed all the time, even after the sun goes down.

Our clients started with the simple goal of reclaiming their yard. In the end, they got much more than they could have imagined. We were able to open up the yard and create a welcoming and usable space for the whole family.
Today, they enjoy a fully revitalized outdoor living space that serves as an extension of their home.
