Peola Landscapes LLC., an upscale full-service Design-Build firm in Fort Worth, Texas, seeks a highly motivated, degreed landscape architect. Must be able to work well with high end residential clients on a variety of projects. Knowledge and ability to place a strong emphasis on unique detail in construction and planting with an eye for superb quality are also required. Strong interpersonal skills, sales experience, and a degree and/or experience in horticulture are a plus.

The Landscape Architect works closely with high end residential clients on a variety of projects. In the design (concept and schematic plans) and production of construction documents (planting, grading, hardscape, construction detailing, dimension control and layout plans). The Landscape Architect is responsible for quality, accuracy, and completeness of studio work.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture

  • LandF/X Or Dynascape Design: 2 years (Required)

  • Microsoft Office: 2 years (Required)

  • Plant Material Knowledge: 2 years (Required)

  • Landscape Design: 2 years (Required)

  • Proficient with computer software programs including LandF/X, Dynascape Design and MS Office Suite

  • Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Dynascape Manage360 experience is a plus

  • Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Can communicate effectively in tough situations with both internal and external groups.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently but should also be able to collaborate in a studio environment.

  • Portfolio of built work

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing residential and commercial landscape design team projects

  • Communicating and coordinating with sales staff, clientele, and vendors

  • Collaborating with the company’s staff in all phases of design, from defining program criteria through exploring concepts and producing installation plans.

  • Researching and recommending plants, finishes, fixtures, furnishings and other specifications

  • Anticipating and responding to the needs of clientele and contractors on-and off-site throughout project installations

  • Working responsibly alongside project managers and fellow designers on meeting client demands.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  1. Personable, energetic, and professional, with a record of success in client-facing roles

  2. Excellent organization, time management and responsiveness to deadlines

  3. Strong understanding and application of graphic and landscape design principles

  4. Knowledge of horticulture and regionally appropriate plants

  5. Proficiency with recent versions of AutoCAD

  6. Proficiency with freehand drafting of plan, section/elevation, and perspective views

  7. Experience with digital filing and workflow tools

  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google productivity applications

  9. Salary Range: $60,000 to $120,000 based on experience.
